Acer has announced four new TravelMate business laptops, and if you’re shopping for a work machine, the important detail is which one actually has the AI hardware. Just the flagship TravelMate P6 14 AI Ships as a Windows 11 Copilot+ PC; the other three are more conventional business laptops with AI-based conferencing tools.
The P6 14 AI runs on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with Intel vPro, which Acer claims delivers up to 150 TOPS of platform AI power. That NPU-heavy configuration is what qualifies it for Microsoft’s Copilot+ tier. The remaining three – the TravelMate P2 Giro 14, TravelMate X2 15and TravelMate X2 14 – use the lower Intel Core Series 3 chips with an integrated NPU, which Acer positions as its first commercial laptops on that platform.
The P6 14 AI is the one Acer is offering most strongly to business buyers. It weighs less than 1 kg, uses a chassis that combines carbon fiber and magnesium-aluminum alloy, and carries a 71 Wh battery that, according to Acer, lasts up to 30 hours and supports fast charging through Power Delivery. Connectivity covers Wi-Fi 7 and Thunderbolt 4. The 14-inch display uses Corning Gorilla Matte Pro glass, covers 100% of the DCI-P3 gamut, supports True Black HDR and variable refresh rates, and offers an optional 2.8K OLED panel.
Treat that 30 hour figure and the 150 TOPS number as the vendor claims for now. Neither have been independently tested and battery life in particular tends to reduce under real workloads.
On the security front, the P6 14 AI relies on Intel vPro for hardware-based machine learning threat detection, and Acer notes that every Windows 11 Copilot+ PC is a secure core PC. Adds Acer ProShield Plus encryption, an optional chassis intrusion alarm, and a physical camera shutter. This last element is a simple privacy win that costs nothing extra.
The P2 Spin 14 is the convertible of the bunch, with a 360-degree hinge, a 14-inch WUXGA 16:10 IPS touchscreen, and a stowed Wacom AES 2.0 stylus. Its dual camera setup combines a front-facing 5-megapixel or Full HD webcam with a 5-megapixel world-facing camera for sharing physical documents during calls. It’s the only model here with Acer DustDefender, which the company says cleans dust from the cooling system every six hours, and it has MIL-STD 810H durability, a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.
The two X2 clamshells are the final value of the alignment. The X2 15 has a 15.6-inch IPS panel and a numeric keypad intended for data-intensive jobs; The X2 14 weighs 1.4kg and uses a 16:10 WUXGA display. Both are MIL-STD 810H certified with a discrete TPM 2.0 chip, an optional fingerprint reader, and optional chassis intrusion alerts. Note that they move to Wi-Fi 6E instead of Wi-Fi 7 on the two more expensive models.
AI conferencing features (Acer PurifiedVoice noise reduction and Acer PurifiedView video enhancement) appear across the range and were included in previous Acer laptops. The really new pieces here are the Intel Core Series 3 platform, Copilot+ rating on the P6, and features like Acer Display Lens, which magnifies on-screen details up to four times and captures QR codes in the middle of a meeting.
This is a broader push from Acer toward Copilot+ hardware; The company recently added four Copilot+ machines to its Aspire AI Consumer Line. Acer has not announced pricing, exact CPU, RAM or storage SKUs for the TravelMate models, and has not confirmed availability in the Middle East. Anyone building a commercial fleet will need Acer’s detailed spec sheets or regional reseller listings before committing.
