Alarming 4-letter Bluetooth device name forced United flight to turn around



Although it has not been confirmed, the device in question was supposedly given the name “bomb.” The 192 passengers got off the plane to be inspected and later boarded a new flight.

In a rare security incident, a United Airlines flight bound for Spain from Newark, New Jersey, had to turn back for inspection after a four-letter Bluetooth device name triggered a security alert.
