Brazilian users can now download AltStore PAL on their iPhones, as Apple has officially enabled alternative app marketplaces as part of a broader set of changes to app distribution and payment rules in the country. Here are the details.
AltStore PAL now available in Brazil
The following months of preparations and a years-long regulatory battle in Brazil, Apple has now enabled Alternative application markets in the country.
As a result, Brazilian users can officially install AltStore PAL on your iPhones and even set it as your default market in Settings > Apps > App Installation.
Update: To celebrate the launch, AltStore is offering 1 month free access to your Patreon for users.

Once installed, Brazilian users can explore the AltStore app catalog by category, including Games, Photo & Video, and Utilities, and can further expand the storefront by adding other sources.
How to install AltStore PAL
If you are physically located in Brazil, here is AltStore official steps to install AltStore PAL. Make sure you’re using Safari, signed in to a Brazilian App Store account, and your device is running iOS 26.5 or later:
1. Tap “Download” (on the download button https://altstore.io/download) and a “Marketplace Installation” alert will appear asking you to allow downloads from AltStore LLC
2. Open the Settings app and there will be a new option, “Allow AltStore LLC Marketplace” at the top under your Apple ID. Select “Allow”
3. Return to (https://altstore.io/download), tap “Download” again and another prompt to install will appear. Select “Install App Marketplace”
With today’s launch, Brazil joins Japan and the European Union as regions where alternative app markets are allowed on iOS.
In the case of Brazil, the measure occurs after a settlement with CADE, the country’s competition watchdog, which, in addition to alternative markets, opened alternative iOS payment systems.
