Apple has announced the complete agenda of the nearly 60 studies it will showcase at this year’s International Conference on Representations of Learning.
One of Apple’s tech demos will show off the impressive SHARP model, previously covered by 9to5Macwhich can reconstruct photorealistic 3D scenes from a single image in less than a second. Apple will run the demo on an iPad Pro with an M5 chip.
Apple’s tech demos will take place at the Apple booth (#204) during show hours and will also include a sample of “on-device LLM inference on a MacBook Pro with M5 Max using MLX.”
mlx is Apple’s open source framework built specifically for AI inference on Apple silicon, and the tech demo will run “a quantized frontier coding model completely locally within the native Xcode development environment.”
