Apple will reportedly analyze multiple signals to detect a boot, including data from the iPhone’s accelerometer, connected Wi-Fi, location, and its distance from a paired Apple Watch.
If you’re worried about iPhone theft, Apple is working on a new feature that automatically locks your device when theft is detected. While Apple has yet to confirm the feature, 9to5Mac information which references in the iOS code suggest it is in active development.
