No one knew what this historic crossover would be like, but now we know, as Helldivers 2 just released a trailer for Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond.
The trailer reveals that this Warbond will feature “TG-8 Sharpshooter” and “T-122 Demo-Trooper” character skins inspired by the soldiers of Warhammer 40,000’s Astra Militarum faction (also known as the Imperial Guard).
Additionally, this Warbond will feature weapons lifted directly from Warhammer 40,000, including Meltaguns, Bolt Pistols, Meltamines, and Hot-Shot Marksman Rifles, along with new vehicle patterns so that Helldivers 2’s mechs and war machines have similar color schemes to the vehicles used by the Imperial Guard.

Now, for a long time, I didn’t play Helldivers 2 because I was locked behind it. PlayStation 5 and PC at the beginning, before Xbox release later.being interested in other games at the time, and due to Controversial updates that caused players to review Bomb It on Steam. (although recently reviews have returned to being “mostly positive”).
However, as a Warhammer 40,000 fan, I can’t help but admit to myself: “Okay, Helldivers 2, you got me, this crossover looks really nice.”
For those who don’t know, the Imperial Guard is one of the toughest but most identifiable factions in Warhammer 40,000 and has slowly become one of my personal favorites.
They are not genetically enhanced like the iconic Space Marines; They are simply ordinary men and women like you or me. However, they are not afraid to plunge headlong into unwinnable battles and fight to purge the universe of the untold horrors of Chaos demons, endless hordes of Orks, and other foul alien threats, all in the name of the God Emperor.
Some of the greatest heroes of the Warhammer 40,000 setting also turned out to be ordinary humans, such as Commissar Yarrick, who defended the world of Armageddon again and again from millions of Ork barbarians, or Ciaphas Cain, who defended the Imperium of Man from the Orks, the Necrons and the forces of Chaos (even if, at least in my opinion, he deludes himself into thinking that he is a huge coward who does not deserve credit), just to name a few. few.
In short, the Imperial Guard is amazing and, I think, fits perfectly into the chaotic, war-torn universe of Helldivers 2. So I can’t wait to finally give Helldivers 2 a chance (as well as giving the Terminds a shot at Meltagun fire) when Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond arrives on August 12, 2026.
