For a while, Windows on Arm devices were in a strange situation. They offered better performance and battery life than typical laptops, but they could only achieve this if the applications supported the Snapdragon architecture. Otherwise, you had to rely on emulation, which didn’t really take advantage of all those juicy benefits of using an Arm chip.
Fortunately, support began to arrive slowly. We saw companies commit to designing versions of their apps that take advantage of the Snapdragon chip, giving Windows on Arm users the boost they deserved. Now, Discord has joined the ranks of apps that offer an Arm-based version, although the company itself hasn’t even announced it yet.
