in your product packaging NEXT eventDreame talked about two new sets of washers and dryers with artificial intelligence and automation at an event in San Francisco on April 28, one of which was a gigantic machine, called Dreame Luxury Care Center. It’s not just a regular stacked washer and dryer—although the company also announced a set of those—it features three additional compartments for cleaning small clothes or shoes, as well as a “clothes closet” for freshening suit jackets, with a transparent touch screen. If that’s not enough, it also has a compartment at the bottom that houses a Dreame robot vacuum cleaner.
In the images Dreame showed on screen, the left side of the Luxury Care Center would have two small washer/dryer barrels for things like children’s clothing and underwear. Below them, a larger compartment specifically for cleaning shoes. And downstairs, a full-size all-in-one washer and dryer for everyday laundry.
As part of the cleaning, Dreame said on stage that the Luxury Care Center will shoot ultrasonic waves through the load, creating bubbles that will then collapse, releasing energy that the company says will clean the toughest stains. It’s 2026, so there’s an AI component, too: The machine will feature an AI system Dreame called “AI Lingus,” which uses a camera to detect whether clothes are actually dry or not. The company claims that AI Lingus can detect the temperature of clothing with an accuracy of 1 degree Celsius.
As for the clothing closet, Dreame said the Luxury Care Center is suitable for something like three suit jackets, which would be steamed and dried with a heat pump. The company also said it “infuses” them with fragrance, although it did not offer details on how. Dreame didn’t offer many details about the robot vacuum’s small hidden hole in the bottom of the machine, but what the company showed looked a lot like one of its high-end models like the X60 Max Ultra Complete I reviewed it recently.
When I tried to get an idea of the expected price or launch of the Luxury Care Center, a Dreame rep guessed it would be more than $2,000, but said the product is still in development and the company doesn’t have a specific launch date in mind. I wouldn’t be too surprised if, like steam in a linen closet, the Luxury Care Center turned out to be a steamer.
What’s most likely to be released is the other laundry set that Dreame showed off, the L9 Pro. It would be the follow-up to the L9, a stackable washer and dryer that Dreame announced last yearThe L9 Pro set will share features already announced for the L9, such as its heat pump dryer can use steam to remove wrinkles and the washing machine uses built-in AI to detect how clean your clothes are.

The L9 Pro will apparently be compatible with the Z1, a laundry robot that the company showed off at CES 2026 which, according to Dreame, can drive around picking up clothes, then wash and dry them for you. I saw the robot pick up clothes from a small box and put them in the L9 dryer (the company didn’t have the L9 Pro set up for display), which was great, but I’d be much more interested to see how it performs in the chaos of a real home.
Dreame was a little more specific about the L9 Pro’s release window (emphasis on “a little”); The company’s presenter said on stage that it will launch the washer and dryer in most countries “in the near future.”
