EA has announced the EA Sports FC Pro Mobile MEA Qualifier, a dedicated online competition that gives EA Sports FC Mobile players in MENA a route into gaming’s new global esports circuit.
Registration will open on July 7, with tournament matches scheduled for July 11 and 12. The qualifier will have capacity for 2,048 players and will be held online via battle.
Participants will be divided into two groups containing up to 1024 players each. Both groups will follow a single-elimination format, while individual matchups will be contested as best-of-three series.
The winner of each category will qualify for the PC Pro Mobile Mid-Season Playoffs, meaning two players from the region will advance to the circuit’s first international competition.
A path dedicated to MENA players
The MEA Qualifier is part of EA Sports FC Pro Mobile, the official competitive circuit of EA Sports FC Mobile. The program features a more structured path through local, regional and global competitions, culminating in the inaugural FC Pro Mobile World Championship.
EA says the circuit represents its largest investment in mobile esports yet, with a combined prize pool of $350,000 across the mid-season qualifiers and World Championship.
“By bringing the elite structure of FC Pro to mobile devices for the first time, we are evolving the EA Sports FC Mobile competition beyond stand-alone events into a comprehensive and accessible global ecosystem,” said Monica Dinsmore, Head of Esports at EA.
The competition will use the mobile game’s one-on-one format, requiring players to build their own teams and manage them through fast-paced matches. EA also plans to introduce rules and formats aimed at encouraging more varied tactical and team-building approaches throughout the season.
In addition to the MEA Qualifier, the circuit includes global and regional competitions covering Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania. A separate SEA Qualifier will also provide a dedicated route for players from the APAC South region.
The road to the midseason playoffs
The mid-season playoffs will take place later in the summer of 2026 and will feature 24 players qualifying through the tour’s various regional, global and partner-hosted tournaments.
Competitors will initially participate in a group stage before moving on to a single-elimination category. A total of $100,000 will be awarded during the event, which will also crown the first international champion of the FC Pro Mobile circuit.
Players who do not qualify through the initial tournaments will receive another opportunity through a second set of Global Qualifiers planned for August.
EA also intends to work with established football leagues and federations on partner competitions. Players from participating countries will be able to represent teams associated with those organizations in both console and mobile competitions, although additional details have not yet been announced.
The World Cup is scheduled for October
The season will conclude with the inaugural FC Pro Mobile World Championship in October 2026.
The four-day tournament will bring together 32 of the best FC Mobile players in the world, who will compete for a share of $250,000 and the title of the first FC Pro Mobile world champion.
EA is also working with publishers such as Nexon, Tencent and Garena to support regional competitions in markets such as South Korea, China and Vietnam. These partnerships are expected to provide local language broadcasts, marketing and tournament infrastructure for players and viewers in those regions.
Registration for the FC Pro Mobile MEA Qualifier opens on July 7, before online competition begins on July 11.
