For months, he has remained relatively silent on the matter since then outside a confirmation that it is still being worked on — but thanks to a new announcement, we finally know when it comes.
The update in question is a massive mod storage increase in the amount of space that Xbox and PlayStation players can dedicate to player-created “Creations” mods that they can download and install from consequences 4The main menu. A new communication from Bethesda confirms that it will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 on May 27, just a week from now.

While this update will ultimately mean nothing to players who don’t use mods, Fallout 4 is changing radically for those on console who do. Even having 15 GB available for modifications opens a ton of possibilities for Xbox and PlayStation players, and Xbox Series
With so much storage available, console users will be able to use high-quality graphics-enhancing mods without issue, and still have plenty of room left for countless other smaller mods that overhaul the game, add new weapons and armor, introduce new quests and stories, and more. Advanced projects that are based on the PC exclusive Fallout 4 Script Extender It won’t be on the table yet, but that’s all.
As someone who has really enjoyed modding Fallout 4 over the years, I’m excited that my fellow Xbox and PlayStation Sole Survivors will finally be able to mod the RPG on a deeper level like I have. One thing you should keep in mind, however, is that the update will delete existing load orders. Fortunately, you can save yours and then restore it after the patch.
Bethesda published an article explaining how to do this.but I will write the process here too. In Fallout 4’s Creations menu, enter your Load Order and then select the Load Order File button. In the box that opens, select “Save loading order to Bethesda.net” and let the process complete. Then after the update, go to the same location and choose “Restore Loading Order from Bethesda.net”.
It’s unfortunate that this update is coming to Fallout 4 six months late, but ultimately I’m glad to see that it’s finally almost here and didn’t end up being scrapped. After the Anniversary Edition disasterthe popular radioactive dust The game really needed a win.
