Everyone probably has a huge library of photographs that goes back years, maybe even more than a decade. Over time, that eats up more and more storage, and this becomes a problem, especially if you pay for iCloud storage. On the other hand, ordering is not easy.
this day turns photo sorting into a habit by designing an interface that lets you tackle it one day at a time.
Highlights
Instead of showing you tens of thousands of photos at once, this day It takes a more focused approach and only shows you photos it took on today’s date, but years ago. So instead of having to take a holistic approach to sorting out your photo library, you just need to think about today’s date from previous years. Then, as time goes by, and if you keep checking the app, you will make progress.
Sure, it’s not a one-size-fits-all solution, but I love this approach as it removes the mental load and becomes a process that takes just a few minutes each day.
this day It will show you all your photos taken that day in previous years for easy deletion, but it also has Live Photo compression (i.e. converting your live photos into a single frame for a smaller file size) and mirror detection, giving you more ways to help save your valuable storage.
You can also set daily reminders and keep a streak to stay motivated. Overall, I find it to be an intuitive way to manage old photos without feeling overwhelmed.
