Pricing rumors talk about Samsung’s next wave of products this year, and what they say might (not) surprise you.
A publication of winfuture alleges a series of price increases for upcoming Samsung watches and foldables (via Android Headlines). The publication cites its “reliable sources” in claiming that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 “Ultra”, previously rumored to be the successor to the Fold 7, could see a €100 (~$114) increase for its 256GB entry option. It claims that consumers who want to maximize storage with its 1TB variant could see a price increase of 280 euros (~$320).
That would put the 1TB variant at ~€2,799 (~$3,201). The Fold 8 “Wide” we’ve heard about could be priced at €1,999 (~$2,286) for its 256GB model.
The publication claims that the starting price of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 could increase by €100. Additionally, the starting prices of the 40mm Galaxy Watch 9 Bluetooth and its 44mm size variant could increase by €40 and €30 (~$45, ~$34), respectively. As for the Watch Ultra 2, the report claims that it could increase by €50 (~$57).
Of course, nothing is set in stone. These are rumors. Furthermore, USD estimates are simply estimates. Samsung usually adjusts these prices a little to adapt to the market in which the device will be sold. Keep that in mind. We expect Samsung to unveil its next products in July, but there are other things we should discuss first.
What we could see
Earlier this week, alleged specifications for Samsung’s wide folding surface for the first time. We “knew” this phone was going to take a broader stance than before; However, tipster Tarun Vats speculates that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (now the widest variant) could have a 5.5-inch Quad HD Plus display with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Inside, consumers can find a 7.6-inch Quad HD Plus display with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
The device is expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a 4,800 mAh battery. the cameras They were another topic of conversation back in May. Those reports suggest that the Fold’s wider cameras won’t be as interesting as its shape. The company is supposedly dropping a lens. We may only see a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. Basically, we could miss out on a telephoto lens, which makes the standard Fold we’re used to look a little more attractive.
Android Central’s opinion
These rumors can be confusing. We have a lot of name changes and not much is confirmed. Samsung recently started a marketing campaign after completely deleting his Instagram account. It’s trying a different approach to tease upcoming foldables. That means that we, the users, must become detectives and find out what is going on. I think I’m more interested in finally seeing what these phones will offer than going over these rumors.
