After last month’s big redesign, Google continue to modify the Gemini overlay on Android and now it has expanded the menu more.
Previously, the Neural Expressive overlay only showed two available tools: Images and Personal Intelligence.
This is now accompanied by videos, music, canvases and guided learning. Deep Dive is not available outside of the full app, as this tool requires an expanded prompt box for Fonts and Files.
There are no changes to Display, Photos, Camera, Files, Drive and Notebooks at the top. That said, the fact that the carousel is higher up on the screen slightly hurts one-handed usability.
Old versus new

Overall, this setting allows you to access most of the Gemini experience from anywhere on Android without having to open the full app. This was already the case with the previous Gemini overlay design at the beginning of the year, but that didn’t help Neural Expressive’s initial renewal.
We are seeing this change implemented with stable version 17.32 of the Google app.
