Google launches $100 AI Ultra plan, drops existing Ultra to $200, adds YouTube Premium Lite to AI Pro

Google has announced a new AI Ultra plan priced at $100 per month during the keynote of Google I/O 2026. This new plan aims to compete with ChatGPT Pro and Claude Max. The company has also reduced the price of its existing top-tier Ultra plan from $250 to $200 per month. Besides, youtube premium Lite has been included at no additional cost with the $20 AI Pro subscription.

The introduction of the new $100 tier causes some overlap in names, as Google now offers two plans, both called Ultra, at different prices.

What the new $100 Google AI Ultra plan includes and how it changes to $200

The AI Ultra plan offers up to five times the usage limits of the Pro plan. It also includes

  • 20 terabytes of Google storage, which is four times more than what is included with AI Pro.
  • Subscribers receive an individual YouTube Premium subscription
  • $40 in monthly Google Cloud credits. Plus, users get 10,000 Flow credits to use on Google’s AI-powered creative tools.
  • Access to Gemini Spark will be available later this year when it launches.

Google is maintaining its previous top-tier Ultra plan, but has reduced the monthly price from $250 to $200. The plan offers 20x AI Pro usage limits, which is double the multiplier of the new $100 tier.

The price adjustments align with Google’s strategy of competing with similar offerings at comparable prices. ChatGPT Pro costs $100 per month, while Claude Max is priced at $200 per month, and both offer high-volume usage options for power users and developers.

AI Pro now includes YouTube Premium Lite

Google’s $20 per month AI Pro plan now includes YouTube Premium Lite at no additional cost. Typically, YouTube Premium Lite costs $8.99 per month and offers a virtually ad-free YouTube experience, excluding music videos and short films. Users who don’t use YouTube Music may find added value in the package.

This change follows recent updates to the AI Pro tier, which now includes an increase in storage from 2TB to 5TB.

New pricing and plan details are effective immediately. Google has not announced a specific release date for Gemini Spark beyond mentioning that it will arrive later this year.
