Based on details we spotted in a recent update, it appears that Google is adding a “New to You” section within the Create tab. The feature will automatically highlight things like collages, remixed images, animations, and cinematic photos in a dedicated space.
If this sounds familiar, it’s because Google Photos already makes these types of edits with the Memories carousel. The only difference now is in the organization. It looks like Google is adding those AI-powered creations to the Create tab to make them easier to find without having to scroll through Memories endlessly.
The measure also has stricter controls. It looks like Google is merging preference settings between Memories and the Create tab, so if you turn off auto-generated creations in one place, they’ll carry over to everyone else. That should make the experience less confusing for those who don’t want to see AI generated edits appearing in your gallery constantly.
It also appears that Google is working on a new set of video editing filters, which also appear in the featured video tools. The new filters are Aura, Linen, Amber, Savings, Glow, Sweet, Peaceful, Reel, Petal, Warm and Silver.
