Google’s Pixel June update includes dozens of fixes

Today Google announced the June Pixel Dropbringing several new features to Pixel devices. Along with Pixel Drop, Google is rolling out the monthly Pixel software update.

June 2026 Pixel Software Update It’s coming to the Pixel 6 and everything before it. That includes the Pixel 6, Pixel 6a, Pixel 7, Pixel 7a, Pixel 8, Pixel 8a, Pixel 9, Pixel 9a, Pixel 10, Pixel 10a, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold series. As Google explains in its announcement, “all Pixel devices supporting Android 16 will receive the Android 17 software update.”

The rollout is starting now and will progress over the next week in phases. As such, you may not see the update available immediately.

As expected, this month’s patch contains several bug fixes and improvements. This is what the update contains:

Applications

• Fix for a system issue that causes certain background processes to crash unexpectedly
• Fixed an issue where the Backup Settings entry appears in search results but does not open when selected under certain conditions.

Audio

• Fixes an issue that causes system instability and performance lags when using Bluetooth audio devices.

Battery and charging

• Fixes an issue that causes slow wireless charging speeds when the battery level is between 75% and 80% under certain conditions.
• Fixed an issue that caused the wired and wireless charging controllers to not initialize correctly during device startup under certain conditions.

Camera

• Fix for a camera stability issue that causes the system to crash under certain conditions.
• Fixed an issue that caused the camera app to freeze when changing zoom levels while recording video.
• Fixed an issue that caused the camera service to crash occasionally, impacting overall system stability.

Screen and graphics

• Fixed an issue that caused a flashing white dot to appear at the top of the screen under certain conditions.
• Fix an issue that causes graphical or display errors on certain device models during standard operation.
• Fixed an issue that caused the device to freeze and become unresponsive when connected to an external display under certain conditions.

Face unlock

• Fixed an issue that could cause the device to freeze or crash when trying to use face unlock under certain conditions.
