
Following Tuesday’s announcementGoogle is rolling out the June 2026 Wear OS 7 update for Pixel Watch 4, 3, and 2.
Based on Android 17, CP2A.260603.001 is rolling out to Pixel Watch 2, 3, and 4, including Bluetooth/Wi-Fi and LTE models.

By tapping the “Your watch is updated” screen (Settings > System > System updates) several times Start downloading this morning. To speed up the process, open Connectivity preferences and turn off Bluetooth to force Wi-Fi.

Google says Get up to speak Activation on the Pixel Watch 4 is “more robust and precise” thanks to an improved gesture model.
“Remote media routing” is integrated into the system’s media player to allow “users to manage audio and video output devices from their paired Android phone using their Wear OS watch.” This makes it possible to quickly switch between outputs: “Google Cast devices, Bluetooth headphones, and other smart displays and speakers.” Note: This is not available yet.
With this feature, users no longer need to access their phone to change media playback destinations.

Emergency Sharing is now integrated with Loss of Pulse, Car Accident and Fall Detection. Google will “automatically notify your emergency contacts when a hard fall, loss of pulse, or serious car accident is detected on your Pixel phone or watch,” and users will be able to customize it in settings.
Use contact changes
- Three button layout in Messages
- Update to include keyboard and voice search methods on the contact list screen to avoid the need to go to the “Recent Contacts” page when tapping search.
- Design changes
- The changes aim to further utilize Material3 elements in completely new layouts to display the list and contact card in a fresh new way. This includes the addition of quick action buttons and a larger contact photo inside the contact card, and a completely new layout for favorite contacts in the contact list.
Here’s everything we’ve found so far:
AOD+ button behavior change
- When the always-on display is active, tapping the crown will immediately open the app drawer, while turning it will open notifications or Quick Settings. Previously, any of the interactions activated the screen first.
New QS mosaic of mobile networks
- Appears as the first item in Quick Settings to disable calls, messages, and mobile data on a standalone watch.


New “Quick Add” widget
- This introduces the renaming from tile to widget. Tiles/widgets on Pixel Watch remain when you swipe left or right.


Media controls can now be accessed at the top of the notification feed.
