Honor has just unveiled its new budget Honor 600, with a spec-heavy package wrapped in an iPhone-inspired casing.
On paper, the Honor 600 is a pretty good little package. A 6.57-inch AMOLED display reaches 120Hz with a PWM dimming rate of 3840Hz and, most importantly, 8,000 nits of maximum HDR brightness. That’s crazy for a smartphone in general, even more so for one that’s on a budget. The asterisk is that it only works with Netflix and Amazon Video. Even so, beats even Honor flagship models.
It runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, 8GB/12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, and Android 16. The phone is IP68/69/69K dust/water resistant and features dual rear cameras with a 200MP main and a 12MP ultrawide that also doubles as a macro camera.
To top things off, there’s a 7,000mAh battery inside the 7.8mm chassis and the whole thing weighs just 190g, a bit more than a Pixel 10a. Supports 80W charging and a lot of AI functions.
There is also an Honor 600 Pro, but the company did not provide full specifications for that device before today’s launch.
For the price, this all seems pretty solid. In Malaysia, the Honor 600 costs RM2,599. That’s about $650 USD when converted directly, although this phone won’t go on sale in the United States. That’s just a little more than the Nothing Phone (4a) Proas a point of comparison. Honor 600 will be launched in the EU, but the price was not provided in advance. The EU version has a smaller 6,400 mAh battery.
But it’s hard to completely ignore the elephant in the room.
That’s an iPhone.
Or at least it looks exactly like one. From the camera array to the “window” on the back, Honor’s latest device surely looks a lot like Apple’s. It even comes in a similar shade of orange. Honor It already did this with its super slim competitor iPhone Airand now it also reaches economic models.

I have an Honor 600 here which, at first glance, is really solid. The hardware feels great and surprisingly light for everything it brings to the table. The plastic backplate probably helps, but one could easily be fooled into thinking it’s glass.
Stay tuned for more impressions coming soon – there is only so many phones so we can stay up to date at this time.
