I have tried the Beats Solo 4 Personally, and I found several ways to outperform more expensive headphones.

The difference between on-ear and on-ear headphones is simple. Over-ear headphones, like the Beats Solo 4, have ear pads that rest directly over your ears. They are typically smaller and lighter and have a higher holding force as a result. This makes headphones like the Solo 4 ideal for working out, where you don’t want your ears to slip off your head during a lifting session.
In comparison, over-ear headphones like the Beats Studio Pro sit in your ear inside the ear pads, which some find more comfortable. I tend to like over-ear headphones, but the trade-offs are size, weight, and price.
The Beats Solo 4 stands out from the competition for its numerous connection methods. Can Use them wirelessly with iOS and Androidand there are physical buttons for power, play/pause, next/previous, and volume up/down. Better yet, there’s a USB-C port and a 3.5mm jack for wired connections.
The USB-C port can be used for charging and when fully charged, the Solo 4 lasts up to 50 hours. If they are powered off, the 3.5mm jack supports full analogue mode – you can use them with a non-powered auxiliary cable. The USB-C port can also be used for wired audio. It has a ton of options and both wired modes support lossless audio.
It’s worth noting that the Beats Solo 4 lack active noise cancellation and this cost-cutting measure helps make them cost so little. If you can look past that, these are a surprisingly good pair of headphones for just under $100.
