Apple TV announces new thriller ‘Guilty Creatures’
in a Press release published today, Apple announced that Julia Garner (ozarks, Arms) will star in Guilty Creatures, a new thriller series based on Mikita Brottman’s book, ‘Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida.’
Here’s Apple on what to expect from the upcoming program:
Based on the book “Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida,” the series delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers, unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as murderers for 18 years. This riveting true crime narrative, set against a backdrop of sex and murder in the Florida panhandle, promises to become an instant classic.
The Apple TV adaptation of Guilty Creatures will be directed by Craig Gillespie (me, tonia, Pam and Tommy), who also directed episodes of another Apple TV show, Your friends and neighbors.
According to the company, “Stuart Zicherman (The psychiatrist next door, bittersweet, the Americans) will serve as showrunner and executive producer of the series, adapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe (Bodies Bodies Bodies).”
In addition to starring, Garner will serve as an executive producer on the series. Apple hasn’t announced a release date, but with the project now official, there will likely be more casting news in the coming weeks and months.
Apple TV is available for $12.99 per month and hosts hit television shows and movies such as Rupture, The study, The morning program, Contraction and Silo.
