Marvel Rivals‘ stylized twists in your multitude of heroes We’ve been in love with them since the game was released a little over a year ago, and finally someone is finally listening to us and giving us proper action figures of their designs, instead of leaving us. with Funko Pops. And not only are they happening, they look fantastic, but not in the Reed Richards sense.
Today, during a livestream, Hasbro finally confirmed that the Marvel Legends “Gamerverse” line would begin to pick up steam. Rivals with a new series of figures arriving later this year. The initial lineup will include two single-card deluxe figures and two two-packs. Enough to fill a Rivals team, and the character mix is even split very well between two Vanguards, two Duelists, and two Supports.
Starting with single card figures, we are getting releases of Rivals‘ faces Punisher and Moon Knight. The big, burly Frank Castle will come with his shotgun and assault rifle, as well as special shooting effects, alternate hands and an extra head, depicting him growling in the middle of combat. Meanwhile, Marc comes with two batons and two crescent-shaped darts (but sadly, there’s no spectral ankh to replicate his truly most annoying ability to deal with) and even an alternate interchangeable cape that replicates the crescent-shaped glide form he has in the game.
Meanwhile, the two-packs spread the support options between two spider stars. Spider-Man himself will come with icy healing singer Luna Snow: Peter comes with just two alternating hands (one extended and one punching), while Luna gets the bulk of the accessories. Not only does she have an extra pair of interchangeable hands (a pair of fists and a pair of outstretched hands for throwing power), she also has an ice snowflake she can pose with and an alternate head sculpt with her giving a cute wink for the first time in Marvel-Legends.
Meanwhile, the other group forms an unlikely team: Venom and Jeff the Land Shark! Unfortunately, Jeff is more of a statue than an articulated figure, although his head can tilt and he comes with an alternate face for different expressions and even has a separate little accessory to adorably depict him swimming underground. But Venom is the highlight here: Eddie and his bonded friend have an interchangeable head with, of course, tongues sticking out, and an alternate pair of outstretched hands, as well as little symbiote tufts on their backs that can be altered for poses.
Hopefully, this is just the beginning of Marvel Legends’ flirtation with Rivals—if only because when they come out this fall, even further The heroes will have joined the game list. There are so many characters to choose from; It’s just up and up from here, but let me be a Main selfish support for a moment and ask if we can get Invisible Woman, Cloak and Dagger and Gambit next please.
Pre-orders for Marvel Legends Rivals Punisher and Moon Knight will be available at Hasbro Pulse and other online stores on April 22 at 1 pm ET. The Venom and Jeff set will be available for pre-order on April 29, while Luna Snow and Spider-Man will follow on May 13.
