There are accessories of all kinds in the world of technology and DuRoBo is taking the competition to an amazing device.
DuRoBo shared details about the launch of Moodi – a wireless Bluetooth page-turning remote that uses cute (interchangeable) emoji caps. DuRoBo is the company behind Krono ePaper Focus Hub. This remote control is said to “make long reading sessions more comfortable and enjoyable.” Typically, users hold their device and use their thumb or finger to turn the page.
DuRoBo says its Moodi is designed to “reduce the tension” typically experienced during longer reading sessions. With its small shape, Moodi offers a “soft, springy” and satisfying bounce when you press its buttons. Moodi offers three modes: reading, multimedia and browsing. For Reading, consumers can hold the Moodi in one hand and enjoy gently pressing the touch buttons to turn the page.
Multimedia mode offers easy play, pause or skip track controls for audiobooks, music and podcasts. The browsing option focuses on searching for online posts.
With a 90 mAh battery inside an ergonomic frame, the Moodi can last “weeks” on a single charge. Plus, its built-in lanyard helps keep it comfortable (and secure) around your wrist for maximum cooling potential. What’s more, the interchangeable emoji caps are a highlight for Moodi, giving consumers options like “meh, cheeky, sleepy, over the top, vibrant and silly.”
Moody by DuRoBo is available on Amazon for $30.99 in the US. The company adds that Moodi is compatible with a “wide range” of e-readers, tablets, and smartphones.
Reading should be calm.
What’s interesting is that when my colleague Nicholas Sutrich mentioned this, he also mentioned that Boox has a similar product. You may know Boox best for his pocket e-readers; However, it also has a small and touchable to turn pages. Boox’s version is called Tappy and takes a different form than what DuRoBo is doing with Moodi. Either way, it’s intriguing to see the competition come in on a device like this.
DuRoBo showed off its Krono during CES 2026, and it was arguably the The most interesting e-reader at the event.. According to Sutrich, the Krono is off to a good start with a minimalist, phone-sized e-reader vibe. DuRoBo also made the experience much simpler than others, but Sutrich said, “I would also like to see more options for existing features.”
Android Central’s opinion
As I said at the beginning of the article, this wireless page-turning device may be strange in a good way. I can almost imagine the satisfying click sensation DuRoBo is going for. If you’re a PC gamer or know someone who is and they have a fancy keyboard, ask them why. I can almost guarantee it’s the sound. A good-sounding mechanical keyboard is like half the reason I have the keyboard I have. Plus, what DuRoBo is doing with this little page turner sounds like maximum, relaxed reading time.
