Nectar Social Marketing OS Raises $30M Series A Led by Menlo

Nectar Social AI-powered marketing platform announced on Thursday which raised a $30 million Series A round led by Menlo Ventures and its Anthology Fund, which was created together with Anthropic.

The company, which officially came out of stealth last year, is an agent operating system for marketers. It told TechCrunch that it uses autonomous AI agents to help brands run “social activity, moderation, creator workflows, competitive intelligence, and end-to-end business conversations.” It also has data partnerships with companies like Meta and Reddit that allow Nectar’s agent to pull and aggregate data in one place from multiple platforms, rather than brands needing to use different tools to manage different platforms.

Nectar Social was founded by sisters Misbah and Farah Uraizee, former Meta employees. CEO Misbah told TechCrunch that this round will help the company expand and hire more in applied AI, engineering and go-to-market.

“The shopping conversation has moved to social media and no human team can staff every place where it happens,” Misbah said. “We are accelerating our category leadership by creating the operating system that enables brands to appear everywhere.”

The company said its clients include Liquid Death, Figma and elf Beauty. Other investors in the round include Kinship Ventures, GV and Gwyneth Paltrow’s True Ventures.
