What you need to know
- Nothing launched its Community Review Program for consumers who are passionate about their devices and are willing to review them early and provide feedback.
- The company also began showing off new product in X, releasing a single “(b)” and two Pokémon, Jumpluff and Blastoise.
- Nothing also includes Jumpluff in its Community Review Program post, which could indicate that this mysterious device will be there.
Nada has had a busy week. The company has now introduced a new early access program for consumers passionate about its devices.
In their community forum, Nada announced that its Community Review Program is now accepting applicants. This program is aimed at consumers who are passionate about Nothing and helps them grow products that mean something. Nothing says, “This is your chance to try and review our latest products before everyone else!” Applicants should not only be interested in technology and design, but experience in cameras, software, and product reviews is also recommended.
To sweeten the deal, Nothing says that you, the reviewer, get to keep the review device it sends you (for which it will cover the shipping cost). Any interested person can submit your application.
However, this announcement could be more significant than we think. As of the end of this week, nothing was posted. a couple of advances about Xwhich could hint at a new device and series. If you’re new to Nothing’s type of “teasers,” the company often uses Pokémon for this. This time, the company has published Jumpluff and the classic water boy, Blastoise. After that, nothing aware a simple preview: (b). We’ve typically seen the company use “a” for its devices (think Nothing Phone 4a, 4a Pro).
What makes this even more interesting is that Nothing used one of these Pokémon, Jumpluff, in their Community Review Program post. We’re not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but maybe what Nothing is teasing is in this show.
What is cooking?
We’re in an interesting time for Nothing right now. On Thursday, the company’s CEO, Carl Pei, posted a video on TikTok That’s textbook for the kind of person he is. Pei yelled directly Appleclaiming that he was going to steal from all of their “boring iPhone users.” Pei continues to position Nothing as a true competitor to Apple, stating that its iPhones have become “repetitive and boring.” That’s not all. Recently, the company’s co-founder, Akis Evangelidis, I had sad news about the CMF Phone 3 Pro.
As RAM continues to skyrocket, CMF will not produce a successor to the Phone 2 Pro to avoid driving higher costs for consumers. However, Evangelidis says CMF still has new things planned this year and that consumers should expect “more to come” from the flagship Nothing line. It seems like the company is up to something and its recent public statements continue that narrative.
Android Central’s opinion
Nada is up to something and I’m here for it. The brand’s latest launches have been quite interesting. The Phone 4a and 4a Pro were pretty amazing, even if I don’t agree with the SoC choices (I know, they’re more budget-focused). Still, even that is a plus. Despite focusing on the affordability line, the 4a and 4a Pro were good devices that didn’t feel like a budget option.
