Nothing Warp was announced last week and then abruptly removed just hours later. Now, Nothing has revived Warp after some “fine tuning,” but now you need to download the app.
Nothing Warp is effectively a stopgap for AirDrop. The app uses Google Drive as a bridge to make files on one device accessible on another. We tested it at launch. and I found that while it worked quite well, the big problem was that every time the file sizes increased, it was totally dependent on the speed of your internet connection.
So, everything was suddenly deleted. All app listings were removed, as was the ad.
Now it’s back.
In a statement sent to 9to5GoogleNothing says the removal of Warp was to “fine-tune the product after its initial release” and emphasizes that “there are no security or privacy concerns.” The Chrome extension has since re-listed, but the Android app has not returned to the Play Store and is instead only available as an APK. on the Nothing website.

Needless to say, the whole situation is a little strange. It’s unclear why the app hasn’t returned to Google Play, although Nothing positions it as a “community beta.”
