This week, consequences 4 on consoles he received a big blow to the arm the new mod storage boost update — a patch that significantly expanded the amount of space players can use to download and install mods on xbox and PlayStation consoles.
Originally, players only had 1 GB that they could allocate modification BethesdaThe open world RPG of 2015. However, after the patch, Xbox Series|S users can now use a whopping 100GB of their storage for mods, while Xbox One, PS5and PS4 players now have 15 GB available (state-of-the-art hardware and sony(the restrictions imposed here are responsible for smaller quantities).
That 1GB limitation was quite stifling for fans trying to use advanced patch-style mods, as well as mod authors who wanted to make their biggest projects available on consoles. Now, however, it is a thing of the past, and the creators of one of the biggest and best consequences 4 The mods of recent memory have taken the opportunity to bring it to Xbox.
That mod is none other than island of miserya massive DLC-sized project developed by Tenhats and shreddah4 that was originally released for PC in November of last year. Thanks to the storage expansion patch, it is now available on Microsoft consoles (although sadly not on PlayStation, due to the aforementioned). sony restrictions that prevent the installation of non-core custom content). Verify the trailer for it below:
Misery Island takes you to a huge new world space with two full Settlements to take control and build, over 20 locations to explore, eight indoor areas, and “lots of small points of interest hidden around the map.” It is set in the real-world Misery Islands in Massachusetts and features a complete, story-friendly questline with voice-acted characters.
As you adventure around the island, you’ll find custom weapons, armor, and clothing, along with new types of food, scrap items for crafting resources, and more. Classic skill checks. radioactive dust The games are also integrated into the gameplay, while new random encounters and weather conditions keep the moment-to-moment experience fresh. There’s even a new radio station and a custom background music selection.
It’s no exaggeration to say that Misery Island is effectively an expansion for Fallout 4 and offers players several hours of content to enjoy. Note that it requires the official Far Harbor DLC to work, so get it if you don’t already have it (you should anyway, since Far Harbor is excellent).
It is also the second chapter of the “Isles of New England” series, being the first island of blessing – much smaller content that was able to reach consoles at launch due to its limited reach.
Seeing a very large and ambitious mod like Misery Island come to Xbox is incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to see other advanced projects hit the platform now that size is not an issue. The future of Fallout 4 modding on consoles, and especially Xbox, is bright.
