Pebblebee Launches ID Tags and Pet Collar Bags (Gallery)

Pebblebee, known for its Android Find Hub/Apple Find My trackers, just released some new battery-free ID tags that help you recover lost bags, plus give your pets a means of identification.

Based on your Link QR code system to be introduced in 2025Pebblebee has two new products for sale.

The first is the “link bag tag“, a simple QR code that is routed through the Pebblebee network to help you recover lost items. It is designed specifically for luggage, with a TSA-friendly design, a tamper-proof design, and the same battery-free universal holder as the Link stickers.

You can customize the page people go to, but it always includes the necessary information, as well as a way to privately contact whoever found your item, even if you don’t want to share a phone number or email address.

Pebblebee also has a new QR tag for pets, called “Collar ID.”

The backbone of this is the same. You place the tag on your pet’s collar, configure the backend, and then someone can scan the code to help reunite you with a lost pet. The label here is much more durable, and Pebblebee says it’s “bite resistant” as well as waterproof. Tag measures 1.26 inches x 1.73 inches.

Within the Pebblebee app, you can mark a pet’s “Collar ID” as “lost,” which can also include a last seen date and instructions for anyone who finds the pet and scans the code. It also automatically places your pet’s information in local pet registries, including the name and picture you use in the Pebblebee app. Once someone finds your pet, they can chat with you through the Pebblebee service, no need to exchange phone numbers.

The Pebblebee ID Necklace is $14.95 by identification.

None of these can replace an active tracker like the ones Pebblebee sells for Android Find Hub and Apple Find My, but they serve as great alternatives, or even companions in the case of your bag. You can still attach a Clip to your bag, for example, and have the QR code as a backup if the battery runs out or if someone other than the airline tracks your bag.
