Personalized food log, plus corrections


Google Health 5.04 launches today with a focus on nutritional updates (a big complaint from the initial redesign) and other bug fixes.

Version 5.04 is available on iOS and deploying to Android. This is due to the wide availability of the latest update on the start of this week.

Nutritional updates

  • Introducing personalized foods: You can now create, edit and delete custom foods for a more personalized and easier record. You can also search for custom created foods and register them again.
  • Quick calorie log and macro estimates: Now you can record an entry by simply adding calories and macronutrients without having to search or add a specific food name.
  • Macronutrient %s corrections: We fixed an issue where the calculation of macronutrients as a percentage of total calories was incorrect for some users.

Sleep updates

  • Naps included in Today– Building on our recent improvements to nap tracking, your naps will now count toward the total sleep duration displayed in the Today tab tiles.

Activity and fitness updates

  • Fixed truncated HR graphs and maps in exercise summaries.: We fixed an issue where some users would occasionally see incomplete heart rate graphs and maps that did not represent the total duration of the exercise.

Cycle Health Updates

  • Simpler trend views:You can now view your cycle history grouped chronologically by year, making it easy to navigate your long-term data and see trends.

Friend updates and leaderboards

  • inviting friends: We fixed an issue where some iOS users were unable to successfully initiate new friend requests.
