T-Mobile does not work throughout the United States and many iPhone users see “SOS” in their device’s status bar. Here’s everything you need to know about today’s T-Mobile outage.
T-Mobile not working, iPhones in ‘SOS’ mode
Data added by down detector shows that the T-Mobile outage began around 4 pm ET/1 pm PT. The outage appears to be widespread, with users across the United States reporting issues with their service.
TO Reddit thread has racked up thousands of complaints from T-Mobile subscribers who say they can’t make calls, send texts and use mobile data on their devices. There are also thousands of complaints of T-Mobile users on other social networks.

iPhone users affected by the outage are seeing the “SOS” icon in the status bar of your device. This indicates that there is no network connectivity. If you see this on your iPhone, it means T-Mobile is down in your area due to the outage. However, you can still make emergency calls.
So far, T-Mobile has not commented on the outage and it is unclear when it will be fixed. It doesn’t appear that other carriers, including Verizon and AT&T, are also down.
