Tensor G6 Reportedly Getting New ARM CPUs and Old GPU for Pixel 11

An early, limited leak about Google’s upcoming Pixel 11 series offers some limited details about the Tensor G6 chipset inside, with a mix of good and bad news.

mystical leaks today published a complement to the recent Pixel 11 Pro Fold wallpaper leak. The animated video variants. we mention in our coverage are now available via this latest leak, which also reiterates the names “Lunar Tides” and “Tidal Swirl.”

But he comments reveals some much more tantalizing details.

The leaker posted a strategically cropped image that reveals a couple of key details about the Pixel 11 series’ Tensor G6 chipset.

GPU-wise, Tensor G6 doesn’t look much better than Tensor G5, with an Imagination/PowerVR C-Series CXTP-48-1536 GPU. This appeared in some previous leaksand it is still an obsolete GPU that dates back to 2021. It’s unclear if Google is perhaps using a newer variant, but either way it’s an outdated setup and one that’s sure to annoy enthusiasts.

That said, the CPU upgrades look promising.

While the specific core configuration is confusing, Tensor G6 apparently uses at least one ARM C1 Ultra core clocked at 4.11 GHz, four C1-Pro cores clocked at 3.38 GHz, and two more C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.65 GHz. ARM introduced its C1 cores in the second half of 2025 and they are also used in MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset.

Tensor G5 is based on a 1+5+2 configuration, using Cortex-X4, Cortex-A725 and Cortex-A520. So just looking at the CPU cores, Tensor G6 is potentially off to a great start. He C1-Pro cores are more powerful than the A725 cores, and even the lower clocked cores will provide more power than the A520 (which are comparable to the C1-Nano cores that Google does not use). Previous reports (before ARM introduced a new brand) suggested a 1+6 configuration, which would indicate that Google uses only a C1-Ultra core. That report also mentioned better GPU power efficiency.

Of course, we’ll have to wait for more details to come in, especially since there is information in the screenshot that is redacted. The post mentions the codenames “Cubs,” “Grizzly,” and “Kodiak” for the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, respectively.
