The Fenix 8 is easily one of the best fitness watches Garmin has ever built, but this powerful portable device doesn’t come cheap. Fortunately, Amazon is carving a direct $250 discount on the 47mm version of the watch for a limited time, dropping the price to $749.99. That’s a 25% discount and one of the few price drops we’ve seen on wearables this year.
Whether you’re trying to track your daily runs, monitor your health, or travel outdoors for an extended period of time, the Garmin Fenix 8 He is the ideal companion. The problem is that discounts on the device are few and far between, so I wouldn’t wait too long if you’re interested.
Garmin took the “everything but the kitchen sink” approach with the Fenix 8, integrating all the best features from its entire smartwatch line into a single premium device. The watch features all the ultra-precise health sensors you’d expect from the brand, including HRM, SpO2, ECG, and skin temperature, plus some premium features that may surprise you, like the built-in LED flashlight and AMOLED display.
Despite a buggy launch, the Garmin Fenix 8 now impresses on the software front as well, with plenty of useful training information, pre-installed activity modes, and customizable daily fitness reports. The watch also comes with full-color GPS maps, a dive-proof design, and up to 16 days of battery life on a single charge.
Of course, no wearable is perfect. The Fenix 8 isn’t the best option if you’re looking for a classic Android smartwatch, and if you need something casual, there are plenty cheapest smart watches that will give you the experience you need for less cash. That being said, if you are a serious self-taught athlete who wants detailed information on all of your physical activities, the Garmin Fenix 8 may be exactly what you are looking for.
