There are no major new genre films this weekend, which means the older ones continue to dominate the box office.

It’s common for movies, especially R-rated ones, to drop 50% or more if they opened to $100 million, but that’s not the case here. In fact, this is the second biggest week for an R-rated movie behind Deadpool and Wolverine back in 2024.
As of this writing, Nolan’s Greek epic costs $639.6 million worldwide. The billion-dollar benchmark is in sight, and it had already been reached previously with the dark knight aftermath. As it is, He Odyssey is basically within reach of interstellar Global collection of 774.7 million dollars. His legs will depend on Friday’s Spider-Man: New Day and which of the two feels more. (Or, alternatively, how many are interested in watching them in a row.)
