Following Samsung Galaxy phones and Google Pixel devices, AirDrop support via Quick Share is now rolling out to OnePlus 15.
Late last year, Google introduced support for Apple AirDrop on the Pixel 10 series. And unlike many previous solutions, this one wasn’t really a workaround. It allowed users to send and receive files directly between Pixel phones and iPhone via Quick Share and AirDrop. Google later expanded the feature to the Pixel 9 series earlier this year.
Samsung then continued to bring the feature to Galaxy S26 series and then expand it to several older flagship Galaxy phones via A user interface 8.5. Other Android flagships, including Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra, They have also received supportand now it looks like OnePlus is finally joining the list.
While OnePlus has not yet made an official announcement, users of the OnePlus Forums have started reporting on the launch, and the people at Android Authority They have also confirmed that the feature appears on OnePlus 15 devices.
Android Central’s opinion
With this release, most flagship phones released in late 2025 and throughout 2026 now support some form of AirDrop support. Honestly, it is one of the best Android features introduced recently because it helps break down ecosystem barriers and makes sharing files between Android phones and iPhone much easier.
Just like other supported devices, the feature works by setting visibility to Everyone on both Android phone and iPhone. Once enabled, you’ll be able to transfer files back and forth directly using the native AirDrop and Quick Share interfaces.
If you still don’t see the feature, make sure both your phone software and the Quick Share app are updated to the latest version.
It’s also worth noting that, for now, the release appears to be limited to OnePlus 15. There is no indication yet that the feature will reach older devices like the OnePlus 13 or previous models.
