Tracking a Partnership Mocked at CESFacer and Citizen have officially launched “Kick It,” a free, specialized Wear OS watch face designed for soccer fans following this year’s FIFA World Cup.
What sets Kick It apart from the sea of generic sports-focused watch faces is its integration with Citizen’s Riiver platform. Instead of simply placing a static team flag on your wrist, this watch face pulls data from licensed live tournaments directly to your Wear OS watch screen, including:
- Headlines related to your team’s next live game
- The colors and flag of your team.
- Your next scheduled match
- Live results and match status.
- Classification and ranking of groups
- Team records and tournament performance
- Opponent rankings and records
Once you select your team, the watch face automatically changes its color palette and theme to match. From there, it displays live match information and more in real time. It’s a great use case for viewable data, essentially eliminating the need to constantly whip out your phone or open dedicated apps just to check the score during a match.
